Bad Dog- Marley

So I was naughty today and Mom is pretty mad. She bought a cheeseball and she was eating it with some wheat thins while she tried to do laundry, homework, and bake a cheesecake. I was really hungry and I kept trying to tell her I wanted some of that cheeseball. I kept sneaking into the kitchen and sniffing but she kept telling me to get out of her kitchen! I really wanted her to know that I wanted some cheeseball so I kept it up. Then one of Mom's classmates called her and she had to go look something up on the computer. I knew I had to act fast because if I didn't she might eat all of that cheeseball before I even got a taste! Sage went with Mom into the computer room (he told me he was going to check if Mom hid any food in there). So while she was gone I snuck in there and stole half that cheeseball right off the plate. It was so good. Unfortunately Mom knew it was me because Sage was with her and I was still licking my chops when she came back. She was mad at me so I made my best "I'm Sorry" face and went and layed down. She is hoping Dad doesn't decide to read the blog because then he'll know what I did and he'll be really mad at me! She was so mean, she told me that she wouldn't feel sorry for me when my belly hurts later. How rude!

We heard we are pretty funny

We heard that you all think we are pretty funny. Here is what we did when Mom told us. In case you can't tell, this is us laughing.

An Introduction: Marley

I am Marley, an almost five-year-old purebred German Shepherd Dog. I moved to my current home when I was only 7 weeks old. I have a pretty great life. I enjoy hiking, camping, swimming, sleeping, slobbering, shedding, playing, fetching (when I feel like it) and eating. My favorite past time is convincing visitors to our house, strangers, and anyone I run into walking down the street that I am completely attention starved. I do this by giving sad eyes, placing my head in people's laps, rubbing up against people's legs and pouting. For the most part it works but sometimes I worry that my mom is on to me. I am a fierce protector and I let my family know if anything and I mean anything comes into my yard, or close to my yard, or even considers walking by my yard. I have just about perfected the poor me pose-see picture. I will be blogging about life and any adventures I manage to get into. Oh yeah and I have a brother.

An Introduction: Sage

My name is Windy Ridge's Sagen Sunset but you can just call me Sage. I am a 3.5 year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. I am a very handsome boy. I traveled a long way to get to my house when I was only 8 weeks old. It involved lots of driving and riding in an airplane. My hobbies are eating, looking for food, sleeping, checking the counters for any food that might have once been there, playing, eating, sleeping, dreaming about food, sniffing for food, checking pockets for food, eating, begging for food, and I also like camping, hiking, and that stuff as long as Mom remembers to pack my food. If anyone reads this can you please let my Mom and Dad know that I am starving? They seem to think that I need to be kept at a "healthy weight". Trust me, I am starving! Can you tell them, please?

I am pretty particular about my sleeping arrangements. I refuse to lay on a bare floor. I need a bed, or a blanket, or lately dad's work clothes have provided some great cushioning. This morning Dad had to go to work early and Mom let me and Marley up in bed with her (that almost never happens). I think I will try to convince her that my dog bed isn't cutting it. Maybe she'll buy me my own queen size bed?

Mom was taking pictures of me sleeping last night, she thought it was cute that I curled up on a pile of dad's dirty work clothes but it shows my nice ridge.
