Caught in the Act!

Most of you know by now that I am ruled by my appetite, so the other night when Mom left an empty box of Taquitos out on the floor my stomach told me that I had to investigate. What if it wasn't really empty? What if there were some crumbs left that I could lick up? I waited until Mom was getting in the shower. I was patient and listened for her to turn the water on so I knew she would be in there and then I snuck into the kitchen to investigate that box. Tattletale Marley ran into Mom's room so I think that is how she knew I was up to something. Good thing she came out though because I had gotten myself into a bit of a pickle.

Belly Kicks

So the other day when Mom got home from work she was sitting on the couch. I (Marley) had to tell Mom that I needed some loves. I usually tell her by sticking my head in her lap and nudging her arm until she pets my head. Well, these days Mom doesn't have much of a lap so I stuck my head on her belly so she could give me loves. So there I am with my head on her belly giving her my best sad eyes and her belly kicked me, right in the face! Mom laughed and laughed. She told me my soon to be born baby sister was telling me hello.

Of all the indignities, this one was the worst

Me and Sage love our mom and dad but sometimes they really cross the line. We put up with the time they dressed us up in clothes and took pictures of us for their Christmas card. We put up with them not letting us take food off the counters whenever we want. We are now putting up with the fact that they won't allow us in the baby's room (they said something about wanting to keep that room dog hair free but whatever). What happened yesterday though was unforgivable. THEY LET A CAT ONTO OUR PROPERTY!!!!!

Yesterday, mom and dad were painting the baby's room (well daddy was painting, mommy just did a lot of standing around watching) so they had the window wide open to let the air flow through so mommy wouldn't puke (she does that a lot). Daddy had taken the screen out of the window and Sage and I were laying in the doorway, since ahem we aren't allowed in the room anymore. Sage and I smelled it before it make it's appearance and we tried to tell them that A CAT WAS ON OUR PROPERTY! They ignored us as usual and told us to lay down. Pretty soon that cat stuck his head in the window and Mom went and petted it! We couldn't believe it. She petted the cat, right in front of us. Marley barked and the cat went running. It hung around outside crawling from window to window to tease us and then it finally went home. We can't believe mom and dad didn't let us eat it. They wouldn't even let us taste it.
To get back at them we have been letting out a lot of stinky dog farts and smelling up the whole house. Maybe next time they will let us have a taste of that cat!

My favorite spot in the house

Sage- My favorite place in the house is wherever the sun is shining in. I love to find a sunny spot on the floor and curl up and sleep.

Marley- My favorite place in the house is staring out the front door keeping a watch over the house. Either that or laying on the air conditioning vent.

Funnest Game Ever

Marley and I have been playing this great game with Mom for about the last four months. She will sit quietly on the couch, or at the computer, or pretty much anywhere in the house. Me and Marley will be minding our own business snoozing in whatever room Mom is in (we tend to follow her around the house and lay down wherever she is). All of a sudden Mom will decide to start the game. She will jump up really suddenly and run as fast as she can to the bathroom. Marley and I will spring to our feet and race after her to see who can get there first. Once she gets to the bathroom (if she makes it that far) mom empties all the food from her belly into the toilet. Then me and Marley try to stick our heads in her way to get a good sniff. Mom always acts really annoyed and tells us to go away which is weird since she is the one that starts the game every time. We like this game and we hope she keeps it up.

Also, Marley won't be leaving us. He decided to stay home and help Dad and me take care of mom and the new baby that will be coming in January. We are glad he decided to stay.

Explanation

We wanted to explain a couple of things. The reason we have gone so long between posts and the reason that we thought mom was turning into a dog. Our Mommy has been really sick and puking a lot. Daddy says that mommy is having a baby! Sage hopes she is having a puppy but Marley is hoping for a human baby because he has heard that they are good at dropping food on the floor. Here is a picture of Mommy's belly at 19 weeks. Maybe there are a couple of puppies in there?
